My friend Steve turned me on to the Forex Market a few months ago. Since that time I have searched for "The Grail" and discovered "The Grail" does not exist. I learned a lot on www.babypips.com and suggest you go there first. After you finish their course and run a demo account 6 months, make your own decision on whether to go live or just play for fun. Never play the market with money you can't afford to loose, 95% loose money, and as of now I am still in that 95% category.
I began seeing what I call a "Rubberband" effect in the market behavior and with Steve's help have written an Expert Advisor and optimized it for the EURUSD pair's behavior since Jan 1, 2009. Here are the backtesting results:
You can have this Expert Advisor for free. It's not "The Grail" but I am hoping to make some good Live Profit from it, forward testing is ongoing. Click HERE to download a free version that will work on any MT4 Demo account and will backtest on the EURUSD Forex chart (any timeframe) from Jan 1, 2009 to present. You can try it on other years and other pairs but I will already tell you it won't be as successful ... why? Because it is optimized for EURUSD and 2009 because I am not playing other pairs and I am not playing other years, it is 2009, not 2008. IMHO EAs should be optimized for current market conditions. I will never sell any of my EAs, please don't ask as I will politely ignore you. If I sold it, it might dilute the Market and cause it to not work. One of the problems with FAP Turbo and Megadroid is that they are so oversold and overused that brokers seem to have taken measures to prevent them from operating successfully. Don't ask for the source code either, not happening for less than One Million Dollars. This EA has built in money management, stoploss, trailing stoploss, take profit, etc. This EA will only work on a DEMO account, if you try to put it on a Live account it will go to Sleep. The only parameter you can set is to change the Magic Number which will have no effect and enable Microlot trading which is false by default as most demo accounts do not have Microlot trading enabled. The above results are with Microlots enabled, without Microlots enabled it still makes 48 consecutive wins with 0 losses but makes a couple hundred less dollars. Please feel free to forward test it and if you do I would appreciate it if you report your results to me via E-mail.
The reason I am giving this away for free is to encourage others to learn the Forex market. Back in March I didn't even know what Forex was, and with Steve's help (thanks bro!) have programmed an Expert Advisor that has pretty good results.
I have a second EA that needs converted to DEMO only that is also 100% profit so far in 2009 and only has an 8% drawdown. It only makes 30% so far this year and might violate the new rules on hedging if used with the strategy above but stay tuned and maybe I'll combine the two strategies when I get time.
